Upload files to build your chatbot's knowledge base
Uploading files is the fastest way to ground your chatbot in trusted, review-ready content. PDFs, slide decks, and text docs are automatically chunked and embedded so answers stay contextual.
Before you upload
- Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, HTML, CSV, TSV, XML.
- Keep files under your plan's size limits.
- Standardize file naming (for example,
Product-FAQ-v3.pdf) so you can spot stale information at a glance.
Build Steps
Inside Data Store, choose File so uploads route to the right source list.
Click + Add File or drag and drop multiple files at once. DenserAI queues the upload, extracts text, and shows status in real time.
Rename files, remove outdated versions, or add notes so teammates know what each document covers.
Press Retrain Chatbot from the right panel. The model refreshes embeddings and starts answering with the new material.
